I felt so heavy by the 38th week and kept asking my doctor. Medically, 39 weeks is full term, and holding my baby then made all that waiting worth it.
Trust me, if you had regular periods, you wouldn't be pregnant! You might get light spotting, which is common, but regular bleeding is a big no-no. Go and see your doc to get a clear answer.
Actually, I had terrible insomnia in my first trimester, yaar. I would just keep tossing and turning in the middle of the night for no reason. My gynac said it is very common due to progesterone spike, so don't worry too much.
My doc had strictly warned me about heavy bleeding or severe pain during early weeks. Please go to the hospital immediately to make sure everything is fine, don't wait.
Wait at least 14 days, or better, wait till your missed period day. If you test too early, you'll just end up buying a pack of 10 tests and driving yourself crazy, like I did!
