My period is late, and I took a home pregnancy test, but it came out negative. I still feel some symptoms, though. Can a pregnancy test sometimes be negative even if you are pregnant?

Just found out im 6 weeks and already my lower back is aching so much. Thought back pain comes only later in pregnancy na. Is this normal so early or anyone else felt the same?
