Please don't take any over-the-counter medicines right now, as some can be unsafe for the baby. Stick to safe home options like buttermilk or ORS, and consult your doctor to be absolutely safe.
When I was staying at my mom's place, I felt this tight cramping that made it hard to walk. My mother immediately knew it was labor pain and started comforting me. It feels like a tight wave that peaks and then completely fades away.
