From my experience, simple tracking of your fertile window really helps a lot. I used to think any day is fine but ovulation tracking made a big difference for us. Make sure both of you are eating well, sleeping on time, and not taking too much work pressure.
If your periods are delayed by even 4-5 days, you should definitely take a home urine test. Use the first morning urine because that has the highest concentration of the hCG hormone. Let us know the result!
