Agree with everyone, please don't take any medicine without asking your doctor first. It is always better to be safe.
I am currently pregnant with my first but I've heard from my friends that second pregnancy symptoms show up much earlier! Like, the baby bump shows fast because the muscles are already stretched. Are you already feeling any different than your first time?
Honestly, don't try to 'convince' anyone, that's not how it works. Pregnancy exhaustion is real, so talk to her openly about how she's feeling physically. Try reducing her mental load, help out with chores, and make her feel relaxed first.
Scientifically, the earliest symptoms occur due to a sudden rise in progesterone. You might notice tender breasts, mild uterine cramping (implantation cramping), bloating, and needing to use the washroom more often. However, these are very similar to PMS, so only a home pregnancy test or blood test can truly confirm it.
My mother-in-law used to suggest drinking warm milk with a pinch of cardamom to feel refreshed, which did help a bit. But my doctor said the sleepiness is just progesterone working, and it's best to sleep whenever possible. Listen to your body and rest well, dear.
