Beta, traditionally we count from the date of the last missed period. But these days, doctors do proper scans to tell you the exact week. Go see your gynac and they will guide you perfectly.
I was so scared of eating anything spicy, even black pepper, thinking it might harm the baby. But my gynac reassured me that a little pepper in soup or eggs is actually great for digestion. Don't worry, standard kitchen use is totally fine.
I ran to the clinic in a panic during my 4th week because of stomach twinges, but my doc laughed and said it's just the uterus stretching to make room! Don't worry, mild pain is normal, but do call your gynac if it gets severe.
