Standing in the medical shop there were like 5 different brands and prices. I have no idea if the costly one is better or they all work same. Which ones do u trust?
Functionally yes they are similar, but I noticed the digital ones that show words instead of lines are easier to read if ur stressed and squinting at faint lines. Otherwise the basic strips work just as well. Whatever u use, test on ur missed period day.
I tried a cheap strip and a costly branded one and both gave me the same result yaar. So dont waste money thinking expensive means better. The cheap medical store strip is totally reliable, just use it correctly with morning urine.
Basically they all check the same hormone hCG, so the idea is the same. But some are more sensitive and can catch it a bit earlier. Brand doesnt matter much honestly, just use first morning urine and follow the timing on the box.
My doctor explained that home kits all detect hCG but they differ in sensitivity, the more sensitive ones detect lower levels so they work slightly earlier. And a blood test at the lab is more accurate than any home kit. For confirmation she always prefers the blood test.
