Im in my second trimester and my office is 20 min away by auto. The roads here are full of potholes and the bumping makes me so nervous now. Do u all avoid autos or is it fine to keep going?
Actually autos are fine yaar, I traveled in them my whole pregnancy in Pune. Just tell the bhaiya to go slow over the potholes, those bumps are the real problem not the auto itself.
Don't overthink this one. Short auto rides are totally fine, just avoid very long bumpy roads when you can. Carry water and dont travel on empty stomach, that matters more na.
Cab everytime is expensive, I get it. Autos worked fine for me, I just chose the smoother routes even if slightly longer. For long distance ya checkup days I'd book a cab, rest of the time auto is okay.
I took autos to office daily till my 7th month, no choice with traffic honestly. Just hold the handle, sit properly and avoid the rush hour breaking. Wear the strap if its there in a bigger auto.
My amma always worried about bumpy rides but my doctor said normal travel is fine. Just sit comfortably and dont strain. If you ever feel cramps or anything after, then tell your doctor.
I'd say be a little careful, I had some issues mid pregnancy and my doctor told me to avoid too much jerky travel. If your pregnancy is normal its okay but pls ask your gynac, especially in the first trimester.
