Got a cold sore on my lip this week, first time in ages and im in 2nd trimester. Is this just a pregnancy thing because of all the changes? anyone else dealt with this?
Hormonal changes and lower immunity can sometimes trigger cold sores in pregnancy. I got one and didnt put any cream on my own, I just asked my gynac what was safe. Best to do the same rather than using random ointments.
I had one pop up in my second trimester and it freaked me out a little. I only used what my doctor okayed and it healed fine. I wont suggest any medicine, please just check with yours.
