I keep small fruit snacks because nausea hits suddenly and I need something quick. But some packaged ones have sugar, so I am confused if they are actually good. What snacks did you keep in your bag?
If you mean those packaged fruit snacks or gummies, be a little careful, theyre often loaded with sugar even if they say fruit. With my sugar issues I switched to actual fresh fruit instead. Real fruit gives you the fibre too, which the packaged ones dont.
Those packed fruit snacks are pricey and not really worth it nutrition wise. I found buying seasonal fruit and cutting it up at home was cheaper and far healthier. Saved money and got proper nutrition, win win during pregnancy.
Fresh fruit as a snack, absolutely yes, great for pregnancy. But packaged fruit snacks are mostly sugar with very little real fruit, so dont treat them as healthy. Keep cut fruit, nuts or yogurt handy instead, much better for you and baby.
Honestly I had my share of fruit gummies when the craving hit, no guilt. Just dont make them your main snack yaar. I balanced it with real fruit like apple and pomegranate so it wasnt all sugar. Treat is fine, daily diet not so much.
