This is my first pregnancy after 3 years of trying and finally an ivf worked, im so happy but also scared. Some relatives keep saying ivf ones are high risk and now im worried. Anyone here with ivf baby, was your pregnancy normal?
I had my baby through IVF and yes they monitor it a bit more closely, but high risk doesnt mean something will go wrong. Many IVF pregnancies are completely smooth, mine was after the early weeks. Trust your fertility doctor and try not to carry fear the whole time.
They do tend to watch IVF pregnancies more carefully, which is actually reassuring. Stay regular with all your appointments and report anything unusual. Close monitoring is a good thing, it catches issues early.
My doctor said IVF pregnancies often get extra monitoring and may have slightly higher chances of certain things, partly because of age or multiples. But with good care they usually go well. She framed it as careful watching, not constant danger.
I totally understand the extra anxiety after IVF, you have already been through so much. They monitor more closely but that is to keep you both safe, not because something is wrong. Lean on your doctor and take it one scan at a time.
