This is my first pregnancy and it happened through IVF after a long wait. I keep reading conflicting things online and it makes me anxious. Are these pregnancies really considered high risk? pls share ur experience.

My doctor explained IVF itself isnt the danger, its often the reasons behind needing it, plus higher chance of twins, that lead to closer monitoring. She didnt treat me as fragile, just thorough. So yes a bit more watchful, but very manageable with a good team.
Dont let the words high risk scare you. It mostly means more scans and visits to keep you and baby safe, not that something will go wrong. So many IVF mommas I know sailed through. Trust your doctor and take it easy.
Practically speaking, expect a few more appointments and maybe extra tablets in the early months, thats normal for IVF pregnancies. Its called higher risk mainly for caution. Just follow your fertility doctor and gynac and youll likely be absolutely fine.
