I use liquid aminos instead of soy sauce in my cooking and now that im pregnant im double checking everything in my kitchen. Couldnt find a clear answer online. Anyone here uses it during pregnancy?
Liquid aminos is basically a soy sauce alternative, used in small amounts as seasoning its generally considered fine. Just watch the sodium since its salty. But honestly run any specific diet item past ur doctor to be safe.
Its just a flavouring like soy sauce, in normal cooking quantity no problem. The only thing is its high in salt, so dont pour loads. I used it occasionally, no issue at all.
For seasoning its okay but it is quite salty, and I had to watch sodium with my condition. So I used very little. If u have BP or sugar concerns, go easy and maybe check with ur doctor first.
Looked this kind of thing up myself, its treated similar to soy sauce, fine in moderation. Nothing alarming about it. Just dont make it a daily heavy thing because of the salt content.
