I use lotus face wash and sunscreen daily and now thinking if all these skincare brands are fine in pregnancy. Im in 2nd trimester. Should i stop or continue? Pls share what you all use.
Actually, when I asked my skin specialist at my hospital, she told me to strictly avoid any skin whitening or brightening creams during pregnancy because they contain chemicals that can absorb into the skin. If you are using Lotus, better stick to their basic pure safe moisturizers and double check with your doctor.
My baby is a toddler now, and during my pregnancy, I used Lotus sunscreens but my doctor told me to switch to physical sunscreens (mineral ones with zinc oxide) instead of chemical ones. Just look at the ingredients and avoid any heavy chemicals, but don't stress too much about basic moisturizers.
Be very careful because some herbal brands still use parabens or chemicals that aren't safe for complications. If you have any ongoing skin issues or a sensitive pregnancy, please show the ingredient list to your doctor before using them. It's always better to be safe.
Hum log to normal aloe vera and basic creams use karte hain, but if you like Lotus products, just check that they don't have strong chemicals. Simple cold cream or raw coconut oil is always the safest option for us during these months, dear.
Lotus has some good herbal things, but honestly, always check the back of the bottle for chemical ingredients. Things like salicylic acid or heavy chemical sunscreens are better avoided. For my normal skincare, I just stuck to basic aloe vera gel or pure coconut oil, very simple and cheap!
Most of their basic herbal creams are fine, but definitely avoid their anti-aging or whitening creams. Always check with your dermatologist to be safe.
