Got some mulling spices as a gift and wanted to make warm drink in this weather. But its cinnamon, cloves, all that mix and im not sure if its ok now. Anyone know if these are safe during pregnancy?
A little bit of spice in your food or tea is completely fine and won't harm the baby. Just don't take them in large quantities or as supplements. Eat fresh and stay warm, dear.
You don't need to spend on fancy spiced drinks or worry about expensive imported spices. If you want that warm flavor, just add a tiny piece of normal dalchini or a clove to your regular home tea. It's completely safe in small kitchen amounts and saves you unnecessary expenses on exotic mixes.
I felt so confused about what spices were safe during my first pregnancy because everyone had different opinions. I used to love spiced tea, but I kept the mulling spices very limited, just a pinch for flavor. It's always best to keep things simple so you don't worry constantly.
Arre, normal home spices like cinnamon and cloves are absolutely fine in our daily khana. No need to buy expensive mulling spice packets from the market. Just make a simple home-made kadha or tea with very little ginger and cardamom if you want that nice aroma.
