Got a small home function coming up and i really wanted to get my nails done at the parlour. But the smell of polish and remover always feels so strong na, now im second guessing in pregnancy. Anyone got nails done while pregnant, was it ok?
I still did my nails in pregnancy, just kept the window open and didnt sit in a closed salon for an hour. Quick application, good air, totally fine for me. Dont stress over one manicure yaar.
From what I read, the occasional polish in a ventilated room is generally considered fine. The fumes are more a concern if you breathe them daily like a salon worker. If you have a specific worry pregnancy condition, just confirm with your gynac.
Actually I asked the same thing, my friend who is a nurse said just dont sit in a stuffy room while applying. Open area, done in 5 mins, no issue yaar.
Honestly the only danger of nail polish in pregnancy is bending down to reach your toes in the third trimester, haha. Get someone to do it for you. Otherwise relax.
