I use naphthalene balls in my wardrobe to keep insects away. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm wondering if they are safe to use. Are naphthalene balls safe in pregnancy, or should I remove them?
I totally understand wanting to keep your home and winter clothes super clean, but please stay away from those chemicals dear. Our precious babies are growing inside us, and we have to be so careful of what we breathe. Ask your husband or family to clear them out and use natural camphor instead.
Actually, it's better to avoid them completely right now because those fumes are quite strong and toxic. I stopped using them in my cupboards during pregnancy. Just use neem leaves or camphor pouches instead, they work great and take zero effort.
Hello dear, please keep those naphthalene balls away for now. Inhaling that strong smell is not good for u or the baby. If you need to keep clothes fresh, use dried cloves or lavender sachets, they are much safer.
Oh pls avoid them dear! 🛑 The chemical smell is way too strong and can cause headaches or nausea too. You can use simple home remedies like dried orange peels or some safe essential oil cotton balls in your cupboards! 🌸
I felt so sensitive to smells during my early pregnancy, and the scent of naphthalene balls literally made me feel so sick. When I read online that those chemicals are not safe, I immediately threw them all out. It's just not worth taking any risk with our little ones.
