Got a sudden nosebleed today out of nowhere, never happens to me normally. We are trying since last month so my mind is going everywhere haha. Can this actually be a pregnancy thing or just dry weather?
When I got a mild nosebleed at my mom's place, she got so scared and made me lie down with a cold pack on my forehead. It's actually quite common due to hormonal changes, but my mother still made me call my gynac just to be sure.
My gynac at Fortis told me nosebleeds can happen due to expanded blood vessels. However, she specifically told me to report it if there is heavy bleeding or headache. Do check with your hospital team once to be safe.
I had minor nose bleeding in my second trimester, and my doctor said it's normal as long as it stops quickly. Keep your room hydrated or use a bit of vaseline if it's dry weather. It won't affect your delivery at all, so relax.
Uff, dealing with nosebleeds on top of nausea is so exhausting, I totally feel you. Try to stay hydrated and avoid blowing your nose too hard. If it happens regularly, please tell your doctor so they can check your levels.
Oh yes, the increased blood volume can make nose blood vessels burst easily! Don't panic, just sit up straight and pinch your nose gently. If it happens too often, do let your doc know!
Pregnancy hormones do weird things, and increased blood flow can cause minor nosebleeds sometimes. But because of my PCOS history, I never took chances with new symptoms. Better to ask your gynac to rule out high BP.
