Was at a restaurant and craving seafood, but skipped oysters coz i wasnt sure. Im 5 months pregnant. Are they actually good or something to avoid during these months? pls share if u know.
Hey, don't stress too much! If you love oysters, just make sure they are fully cooked, never eat them raw. But maybe stick to normal fish for a few months just to be safe?
I just delivered my baby last month and my doctor had told me raw oysters are a big no. If they are completely cooked, it's fine, but honestly, it's safer to avoid them.
I don't know the medical side, but during my pregnancy, I strictly avoided raw oysters because I was scared of food poisoning. I only ate well-cooked fish instead.
Please do not eat them, especially raw. Raw oysters can contain harmful bacteria like Listeria which is very dangerous for the baby, so please stay safe and avoid them completely.
I'm in my 3rd trimester and too tired to even think about fancy seafood, haha. But seriously, raw oysters are risky, so stick to cooked foods to save yourself from hospital trips.
Beta, try to avoid such seafood during pregnancy as they can carry heat and infection. Eat fresh ghar ka khana and if you have low iron, pomegranate juice is much better.
