I get really bad headaches sometimes and used to just pop a tablet before. Now im 12 weeks and scared to take anything. I'll obviously ask my gynac but wanted to know if others avoid them completely?
During pregnancy, normal painkillers like ibuprofen can be very risky for the baby. After my C-section, the hospital gave me specific safe painkillers, but during pregnancy itself I strictly avoided them unless prescribed.
It is best to avoid external medicines and trust your body's natural strength. Try to meditate or listen to calm music to relieve your pain. Praying for your health and a safe journey ahead.
I have been having bad headaches lately but I'm too scared to take any painkillers. My doctor said only paracetamol is safe if absolutely needed, but I still avoid it. Does anyone else also feel this anxiety about taking medicines?
Beta, avoid chemical medicines as much as possible right now. For headaches, try applying a little balm or inhaling steam, or drink warm ginger water. Resort to pills only if your doctor prescribes them.
Please don't take any over-the-counter painkillers on your own. I had some complications early on and my gynac strictly warned me against self-medication. Always call your doctor before taking even a single pill.
I had severe backache during my second trimester, but I didn't take any painkiller. I just used a hot water bag and took rest because my doctor had only approved paracetamol in very rare cases. That worked for me.
