Im 14 weeks and used to do planks every morning before all this. Dont want to stop my core workout fully but also scared of putting pressure on the belly. Anyone continued planks in pregnancy, till which month?
Honestly by second trimester I dropped full planks completely, the belly weight changes everything. Side planks felt safer for me. Dont push if it pulls on your tummy.
Take it slow beta. If you were active before, light modified planks may be fine, but the moment it feels uncomfortable just stop. No need to prove anything during these months.
Core exercises arent fully banned but the rule is no lying flat on back for long and no straining. A wall plank standing is gentler. Best to do it under someone who knows prenatal fitness.
I used to do planks before pregnancy and asked my gynac about it. She said modified ones on knees were ok for me in early months but only because I was already strong before. Pls check with ur own doc, everyone is different.
I was wondering the same thing! Did anyone feel that pressure on the lower belly while planking? I stopped coz it felt weird na, didnt want to risk it.
