Took a test 2 weeks after the missed period and it was positive. But im that paranoid type who needs to be 100% sure. Is the result reliable at this point or should i recheck?
Most good quality pregnancy tests are quite accurate two weeks after your expected period. However, for 100% confirmation, especially if you had an irregular cycle, our hospital staff recommended a blood test, which detects the hormone even earlier. Always best to confirm with your gynac.
If you mean two weeks past your missed period, then yes, home pregnancy tests are generally very accurate. If you mean two weeks after conception or ovulation, it might be a bit early, so waiting until your missed period is usually recommended for the most reliable result. For certainty, a blood test is always the gold standard.
Haan beta, do hafte agar period miss ho gaya hai toh test accurate hi aayega. Par ek baar phir bhi gynac ko dikha do, woh confirm kar denge. Bas darrne ki koi baat nahi, jo bhi result ho, accha hi hoga.

Accurate enough to give you a heart attack and then take away your sleep for the next 18 years, haha! But seriously, yes, after two weeks of a missed period, they are quite reliable. If you're still in doubt, grab another one, or just call your gynac.
I waited until about a week after my missed period to take a home test, and it showed positive immediately. So after two weeks, it should definitely be accurate. But if you have any doubts or irregular cycles, just reach out to your doctor for confirmation.
