I try to eat home food mostly but sometimes i do end up having packaged or canned stuff when im too tired to cook. Now im 4 months and feeling guilty about all the preservatives. How careful do i really need to be?
From my food watching days, I learned to limit heavily processed and preserved stuff, more for the sugar and salt than the preservative itself. Fresh is just healthier overall. But please follow whatever diet your doctor sets for u.
Lol I craved chips and instant noodles so I get the worry. I just didnt make it daily, balanced it with proper meals. A treat sometimes is fine, dont guilt trip yourself over it.
Honestly I didnt obsess over this with both my pregnancies. I just kept packaged food to a minimum and ate fresh mostly. Everything in moderation yaar, no need to fear every label.
An occasional packaged snack isnt going to harm your baby, dont panic over one biscuit. But yes, fresh home cooked food is better most of the time in pregnancy. For specific diet doubts your gynac or a nutritionist is the best guide.
