Are severe headaches a sign of pregnancy?

I have had bad headaches for two days and my period is also late, so I am confused. It may be stress also but the pain is stronger than usual. Did anyone get severe headaches before finding out?

Light headaches yes, common early sign along with tiredness. But severe ones arent a typical pregnancy sign. Take a test if you suspect pregnancy, and see a doc for the headache part separately.

Mild head heaviness can happen early, but severe headache is something I'd never brush off. Especially later in pregnancy it can be linked to BP. Please get it checked with your doctor, dont wait it out.

I had headaches in first trimester and got so worried. Did anyone else feel this? My gynac said it's hormones and dehydration mostly, told me to drink more water. But if it's severe she said come in.

Mild ones, maybe. But severe headache deserves a doctor visit, not a guess.

I felt mild headaches in my early weeks, hormonal changes do that. But mine were never severe. If yours are really bad pls dont ignore it.

Mild headache can be early pregnancy due to hormones, but my doctor was clear that a severe or sudden one with vision issues or swelling needs immediate check. Dont self diagnose a severe headache, get BP checked.
