Noticed my nails looking unusually shiny and growing faster this week. My period is a few days late so im reading into every little thing honestly. Has anyone else noticed this before they found out?
Funny u say this, my nails did get glossy when I got pregnant but I noticed it only later. For me the real giveaway was a missed period. Were u feeling any other symptoms also?
Nails and hair do change in pregnancy because of hormones, mine grew super fast and looked shinier. But it is not a reliable sign by itself. If u are wondering, just take a home test na, that will tell u clearly.
Haha if shiny nails meant pregnant then half the salon would be expecting. Hormones can make nails look nice but dont go by that. Pee on a stick, that is the real shiny sign.
Hormonal changes can affect nails and hair, so shinier nails happen, but plenty of things cause that too. It is not something to rely on for pregnancy. A test, and then confirming with a doctor, is the proper route.
