I got the lung maturity injections before an early delivery and honestly it was just like a regular injection, a quick sting. Felt a bit sore at the spot after but nothing major. The nurses were quick about it.
I had them too when there was a risk of preterm birth. The pinch was bearable, the bigger thing was why they were needed, so trust your doctor's reason. If you are anxious about it, ask the doctor to explain everything beforehand.
