I add tomatoes in almost everything i cook, like daily. Someone in my family said too much khatta is not good when pregnant. Now im confused, are they okay to eat or should i cut down?
Actually, tomatoes are great because they have lycopene and folate which is excellent for baby's development. My doctor told me eating cooked tomatoes is even better as it helps absorb nutrients easily. Just limit them if you suffer from severe acid reflux.
Haan beta, tamatar toh bahut acche hote hain sehat ke liye. Khub saunf ka paani piyo agar acidity ho tamatar khane ke baad. Sabzi me dalkar khao, badhiya rahega.
I ate so many tomatoes during my pregnancy, especially in cold salads and chutneys. They didn't cause me any issues, but my cousin got bad acidity from them. So just see how your stomach reacts.
I have a history of PCOS and was always scared of eating the wrong things during pregnancy. Tomatoes are low glycemic and totally safe, so I ate them without fear. Just don't have too many raw ones if you have a sensitive stomach.
My mother told me tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and very good for health. I try to include them in my daily dal and sabzi while preparing my body for pregnancy. Hope it helps you too.
