I've caught a bit of a cold and have a blocked nose, which is making me very uncomfortable. I usually use a nasal inhaler for relief. Is it safe to use such inhalers when pregnant, or should I avoid them?
Yaar, actually nasal congestion in pregnancy is the worst! Vicks inhalers are generally safe, but try not to make it a habit. Just use a normal warm water steamer, it gives the best relief naturally.
It is mostly fine to use an inhaler occasionally for a blocked nose, but don't inhale it deeply all day. Try taking hot water steam with a little salt or ajwain, that is a very simple and safe home remedy that really works.
Lol, I think I survived my second trimester nose blocks solely on Vicks! It is perfectly safe to use once in a while. Just don't try to sniff the whole bottle in one go and you'll be absolutely fine!
Arey, don't stress too much about a simple inhaler, it is totally fine to use! Just don't overdo it. If your cold is really bad, just put a drop of eucalyptus oil on your pillow, it works wonders!
Haan na, during cold it is so difficult to breathe. Vicks inhaler is generally safe for quick relief, but don't use it too much. Natural steam inhalation is actually much better and safer, ho na.
I completely understand how terrifying it feels to use even a basic inhaler when you are pregnant, I used to worry about everything! Vicks is safe to use occasionally, but if you feel anxious, just call your gynac's assistant and confirm once to put your mind at ease.
