Are you protected from pregnancy during placebo week?
Im on the pill and currently in my sugar pill week. Me and hubby were intimate and now im a little worried since im not taking active pills these days. Does the protection still hold during this week or not?
Yes as long as you took the active pills properly, the placebo days are covered. Thats how the pack is designed. Just dont skip or delay the active ones and youre fine.
Taken correctly, you stay protected during the sugar pill week too. But contraception questions are best confirmed with your gynac, especially if you missed any pill. Dont rely only on forums for this.
If youve been taking the pills correctly all month, the placebo week is still protected, my gynac explained this clearly. The protection carries over as long as you didnt miss active pills. But if you missed any, check with your doctor to be safe.
