Got my beta hcg done at around 4 weeks and it came positive but numbers were on lower side. Thoda confused hu, can blood test give wrong result this early or is it always accurate? Anyone had a similar situation?
Honestly, blood tests are super accurate but 4 weeks is very early, maybe ovulation was late. I remember when I got my positive around then, my doctor strictly told me to pause my heavy gym routines and stick to gentle walking only. If you are confused, definitely consult your gynac first.
Four weeks is quite early and levels can be low, so try not to panic. I remember feeling so nauseous and exhausted even before my test showed clear results, so our bodies definitely feel it first. Try to rest, eat small meals if u feel sick, and check with your doc about repeating the test.
I literally went through this confusion just a few months back. My first blood test showed a very low number because I tested too early. My doctor made me repeat it after 48 hours to see if the levels were doubling, which they did!
Blood tests are rarely wrong, but your conception date might be later than you think. If it's borderline, wait for 3-4 days and get a Beta hCG test done again. Go to a good lab and show the reports to your doctor instead of guessing.
For me, my home urine test was very faint at 4 weeks so I did a blood test and it was positive, but my friend had a negative blood test first because she conceived late. I am no expert so I won't say what is right or wrong, but waiting a couple of days and repeating it worked for people I know.
Beta, sometimes dates can be up and down, so don't stress your mind too much right now. Eat light ghar pe bana khana, drink a little warm milk, and give it a few more days. Everything happens in its own time, just trust the process and get a retest next week.
