Can a blood test detect pregnancy 1 week after conception?
My husband and I are trying to conceive, and I think I might have conceived about a week ago. I'm very eager to know, can a blood test already detect pregnancy that early, just one week after conception?
A blood test is very sensitive, but 7 days might still be borderline for a reliable hCG reading. Make sure to consult your doctor for a proper follow-up plan, especially to check your other hormone levels like thyroid which are crucial from week one.
I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and I actually tried testing very early too because I was so impatient! My doctor said a blood test can sometimes detect it around 8-10 days after ovulation, but 1 week might be slightly too early even for blood. Did u track your exact ovulation day?
While a blood test is highly accurate, one week post-conception is pushing it a bit. I would suggest waiting a few more days, and meanwhile, you can continue with your light walks or yoga if your doctor has permitted it. Keep your body moving gently while you wait.
It might be a little too early to get a definite answer, dear. Try to wait a few more days and do the test so you get a clear, reassuring result. Praying for you.
