My doctor once explained this can happen due to a hormone called prolactin being high, and sometimes thyroid is linked too. Its not always harmful but it needs investigation. Best to do the blood tests the doctor suggests rather than worry.
Milk discharge from breasts without pregnancy is something you should get checked, dont ignore it. It can be a hormone thing like prolactin. Please see a gynac, they will do a simple test and guide you.
