Can a gynaecologist determine pregnancy by touching belly?
I've heard some women say their gynaecologist can tell they're pregnant just by touching their belly. Is this true? Can a gynaecologist really determine pregnancy by simply touching the belly during an examination?
Honestly, no doctor can tell just by touching your belly in early months, they will always ask you to get a Beta hCG blood test or a scan. Don't worry about extra costs, a basic home pregnancy kit is just 50 rupees and is the cheapest way to confirm before going to the clinic.
I recently had my baby, and my gynac only started touching my belly to measure growth after my second trimester started. In the early weeks, she strictly relied on urine tests and the first dating scan. Go for a proper test, it is very simple.
Arre no dear! In the early weeks, your baby is way too tiny and hidden deep inside the pelvis. 🌸 They can only feel the uterus size after 3-4 months. Best to just do a quick home urine test to find out! 💕
Haha, what! Gynac have magical hands but they are not X-ray machines! 😂 In early weeks, you can't feel anything from the outside. Just stick to a simple urine test strip, it's cheap and 100% works!
Chutkiyo me touch karke koi nahi bata sakta, ye purane jamane ke dadi nani ke nuskhe hain. Early pregnancy me uterus haddi ke piche hota hai, toh hath se kuch pata nahi chalega. Ek test kit kharido aur urine test karo, sab clear ho jayega.
Actually, I am planning to conceive and had this same doubt last month! I thought doctors could just feel the stomach and tell. But after researching, I found that they definitely need an ultrasound or blood test to be sure.
I was also quite shy to ask this, but apparently, they can't tell in the first few weeks just by touching. The uterus expands only after the first trimester. A home test strip or visiting a doctor for a proper scan is much better.
