Can a otrivin nasal spray affect pregnancy?

My nose was completely blocked last night and without thinking i used otrivin spray, then realised im pregnant (just 5 weeks). Now im a bit worried if it harms the baby. Has anyone used it during pregnancy? Will check with doc but cant stop overthinking.

My gynac strictly said no to Otrivin when I had a bad cold. She prescribed a safe saline nasal spray instead.

Better to use a simple steam inhaler or cheap saline drops. Otrivin is not recommended in pregnancy without doctor's prescription.

I was told to avoid Otrivin during pregnancy because it can restrict blood vessels. Saline drops like Nasoclear are much safer.

I get terrible nasal blocks in winters. Has anyone's doctor actually allowed Otrivin, or is it completely off-limits?

Please avoid using Otrivin without asking your gynac. Safe steam inhalation is much better.
