Doc has asked me to go for a pelvic ultrasound this week. My test was positive but im not sure how early it can actually show the baby. thoda nervous about the scan tbh.
Mine was done around 6 weeks and they saw the sac and tiny heartbeat, it was the most amazing moment. Before that the home test and blood test had already confirmed it.
Definitely, thats actually how they confirm it and check location and dates. Too early and they may not see much, so they often ask you to come back in a week or two. Dont panic if the first scan is too soon to show clearly.
Yes it can. My doctor explained a pelvic or transvaginal ultrasound can pick up the gestational sac around 5 to 6 weeks, and the heartbeat a little after. Very early on though, a blood test is more reliable than the scan.
It can, especially the internal scan early on. But timing matters a lot, so let your doctor decide when to do it. Going too early just leads to a repeat scan and unnecessary worry.
