Can a positive pregnancy test be wrong before missed period?

I tested one day before my period and got a positive line, but now I am scared it may be false. I haven't told anyone yet because I don't want to get hopes up. Has anyone had correct positive before missed period?

Early ones can play tricks yaar, evaporation lines and all. Dont fully trust one early test, do it again after few days with morning urine. That's the most accurate.
