My test was positive twice but at the scan today they said they couldnt see anything clearly yet. Doc told me to come back after 10 days. Honestly im so confused and worried, has this happened to anyone else?
Yes, if its very early the scan may not show anything yet, it doesnt always mean something is wrong. I went through this anxious wait myself. The doctor often repeats the scan and checks hcg, so try to hold on and not assume the worst.
My gynac explained that before about 5 to 6 weeks the sac may be too small to see. She also mentioned that in rare cases like ectopic it may not show in the uterus, which is why they monitor hcg levels. So an empty early scan often just means too soon.
It happened to me and the doctor took it seriously to rule out ectopic. They tracked my hcg and repeated the scan. If your scan is unclear, please follow up closely with your gynac.
