Got a positive at what i think is around 4 weeks but a part of me doesnt fully believe it yet. Just wondering if tests can sometimes show wrong this early. Did anyone here get a false result?
By 4 weeks (around your missed period) tests are usually quite accurate, but false negatives can still happen if hcg is low or urine is diluted. My doctor said use first morning urine and retest in a few days if unsure. A blood test gives the most reliable confirmation.
At 4 weeks it is mostly reliable, but a wrong negative is more common than a wrong positive. If it is negative but your period still doesn't come, retest. A positive at this stage is generally trustworthy.
I retested like three times because I couldn't trust one result haha. If you are unsure, a blood test really put my mind at ease. Try not to overthink a single line like I did.
