This is a weird question but i read somewhere that certain things other than pregnancy can show positive on the test. Got me a bit scared honestly. My test was positive but i havent gone to the doctor yet. Has anyone heard of this?
It's rare, but yes certain conditions can raise the hormone that tests detect and show a false positive. My doctor mentioned this is uncommon though. If your test is positive but a scan shows no pregnancy, your gynac will investigate properly, so dont jump to scary conclusions.
This is really a question for your doctor, not the internet. Most positive tests are simply pregnancy. If something is off, the gynac will do a blood test and scan to figure it out, please dont stress alone over rare possibilities.
