Test came positive and im roughly 5 weeks going by my last period. Gynac has called me for a scan this week but im a little nervous it might be too early to see anything. Did anyone get a clear scan around this time?
Same doubt I had! Mine was around 5 and half weeks and the internal scan showed the sac. They didnt see heartbeat then na, came in the repeat scan. Wait karna padta hai thoda.
At 5 weeks usually they can see the gestational sac on a transvaginal scan, my doc told me thats normal. The heartbeat and proper baby part comes a bit later, around 6-7 weeks mostly. So dont panic if they dont see much at 5.
It depends on your exact dates too. Sometimes our calculation is off by a week. At 5 weeks a vaginal ultrasound is more likely to catch it than the belly one. If nothing shows, the doc usually repeats it, totally normal.
When I went at 5 weeks they only saw a tiny sac and I felt so scared like is everything ok. Doctor said its too early to see baby clearly and asked me to come back after 10 days. Next scan everything was fine, so try not to stress.
