I took a home test and it showed faint positive but im also dealing with a yeast infection right now. Now im confused if the infection is messing with the result somehow. Has anyone had this happen?
Test should still be accurate even with a yeast infection. But honestly if you have itching, burning or thick discharge along with it, please get it checked by a doctor, specially if you might be pregnant. They give safe treatment for it.
When I asked my gynac this same thing she said no, a yeast infection doesn't change the test result because the test only checks the hCG hormone in urine. The infection is in a different area altogether. But she did say get the infection treated, dont ignore it.
From what I understand the infection won't mess with the result. I'd still confirm with the doc though, because sometimes other things can give a confusing line. Better to be sure than guess.
Nope, the two are unrelated. The kit reads pregnancy hormone in your pee, a yeast infection has zero effect on that. Just take the test normally and see your doctor for the infection part.
