my period is late and at the same time i think i have a yeast infection going on, bit of itching and discharge. cant figure if these two are connected somehow. has anyone noticed this before getting a positive?
It can occur more in pregnancy but please dont use any over the counter cream without asking your doctor. Some are not safe in pregnancy. Get it properly checked and treated na.
I felt the itching and discomfort early in my pregnancy and it turned out to be a yeast infection from the hormone changes. My doctor gave me safe treatment and it cleared up. Definitely get it seen rather than guessing.
Yeast infections do become more common in pregnancy because of hormone and pH changes, but they are not really a sign of pregnancy on their own. If you have itching, burning or thick discharge, see your gynac for the right treatment. Dont self treat down there.
