I have a painful abscess that came up last week and im 14 weeks pregnant. Worried whether it can harm the baby in any way. Planning to show my doctor but wanted to know if anyone here dealt with this during pregnancy.
Dont self treat this one. Wherever the abscess is, gum, breast, skin, get a doctor to see it. They handle it carefully in pregnancy. Mere cousin had one and her gynac coordinated with another doctor, sorted easily.
It can if left untreated since its an infection, but with proper care it usually doesnt harm the baby. Best thing is to let ur doctor decide treatment, they know whats safe during pregnancy. Dont take random antibiotics on ur own.
