I used a home kit and it showed one line, but my period is still late by a week. Now im confused matlab does the kit catch everything or sometimes it misses? Should I just go for a blood test instead? thoda tension ho raha hai.
Honestly, those home kits are great but they aren't magic machines. Sometimes if the hCG level is too low, it won't show up even if you are preggo. My heavy belly right now in the 3rd trimester is proof that those single line scares earlier were just wrong, haha.
Actually, home kits are 99% accurate but they can miss very early pregnancies. If you keep buying multiple kits it gets costly, so better to go for a lab beta hCG blood test which is more accurate and saves you money in the long run. Plus, the hospital charges for a proper blood test are quite standard.
Not always na. Sometimes the kit is expired or you tested too early, so it misses the detection. I had a faint line and when I went to the doc, surprise surprise, there were two heartbeats!
I am also trying to conceive and was reading about this recently. From what I know, sometimes the kit might show a negative if we test too early in the morning or with diluted urine. It is better to wait a few days and try again or ask a lady doctor.
I know how stressful waiting for that double line can be, especially when you are trying hard. Sometimes these kits don't detect very low hormone levels in early days. Please be gentle with yourself and maybe get a blood test done if your period is late, sending you lots of baby dust.
Home kits are helpful but they are not 100% foolproof, trust me. If you have missed your period and the kit is still showing negative, please book an appointment with your gynac. Only a proper medical test or scan can confirm it safely.
