Can allergy rhinitis cause complication in pregnancy?
I have had allergic rhinitis since years, constant sneezing and blocked nose. Now im 9 weeks and its gotten worse with all this dust. Just worried if this can affect baby in any way? anyone with same issue?
My gynac said allergic rhinitis itself usually doesnt harm the baby, but you shouldnt take random allergy meds on ur own. She told me which simple measures were safe and adjusted my medicine. So manage it but always run the meds past ur doctor.
I managed mine mostly by avoiding dust and triggers, kept the house clean, used a mask when needed. Simple steps reduced my sneezing a lot. For anything more, I always checked with the doctor instead of buying meds randomly.
I have allergies too and I was careful to only take what my doctor approved in pregnancy. The allergy alone wasnt a big issue but the medicines needed checking. Please dont self medicate, just ask ur gynac for safe options.
