Got the news today that it might be ectopic and Im honestly shaken. Doctor is monitoring my levels before deciding anything. Just wondering, does it ever sort itself out without any treatment? scared to ask her directly.
I totally understand the worry behind this question. Sometimes yes, with very close doctor supervision, but please dont count on it and stay away from medical care. Keep your gynac in the loop for every symptom, ok. Thinking of you.
Beta this is a serious thing and needs your doctor's eye constantly. A few small ones settle on their own, but you must be checked regularly. Any sudden pain or bleeding, rush to hospital, dont hesitate.
My friend's doctor explained that a few small ectopics with falling hcg can resolve by themselves under strict monitoring, what they call expectant management. But the doctor watches it with repeat blood tests. It's their call, not ours.
In some early cases doctors do watch and wait if hcg is dropping on its own, but this is never something to assume or handle at home. An ectopic can be dangerous if it ruptures, so you must be monitored by a gynac closely. Please dont wait it out alone.
