I did a home test and the control line didnt even come properly, it said invalid i think, but there was some faint mark in the test area. Now im confused should i count it or not? itni tension ho rahi hai, did this happen to anyone?
Invalid matlab test kharab ho gaya, beti. Usko positive nahi maan sakte na negative. Aise mein sabse achha hai ki ek aur ghar wala test le lo, ya fir seedhe lab jaake blood test karwa lo. Woh sabse pakka result deta hai. Bahut zyada sochna nahi chahiye, seedha solution nikaalo.
My doctor explained that an 'invalid' result on a home pregnancy test means the test kit itself didn't function correctly, perhaps due to insufficient urine, expired kit, or a manufacturing defect. It doesn't indicate a positive or negative pregnancy. The recommendation is always to repeat the test with a fresh kit, following instructions carefully, or opt for a blood test (serum HCG) which is more accurate.
With PCOS, I've had so many confusing hormone fluctuations and test results, so I know the frustration of an 'invalid' one. An invalid pregnancy test generally means it hasn't processed correctly, not that it's a positive or negative. It's best to discard it and retest with a new kit or, even better, get a blood test from your gynac for accurate results. Don't rely on it.
Oh, dealing with any uncertainty during pregnancy is tough, especially with tests. An invalid test result means it hasn't worked properly, so you can't trust it to be positive or negative. It's like the test just failed. Best thing is to repeat the test with a fresh kit or just get a blood test done by your doctor, that's more accurate and what my thyroid doc always preferred.
I remember once I got a test that just showed a weird smudge and I totally panicked thinking what if it's positive but not showing clearly! But an invalid test means it's faulty and you can't trust the result at all, positive or negative. Just get another test kit or go for a blood test, that's the most reassuring way to know for sure. Don't stress over a faulty one.
