I had to give some blood tests recently for other reasons and now im wondering if those would show pregnancy too, or do i need a separate one? Thoda confused about how all this works.
Nope, an STD panel won't tell you if you're pregnant. Just get a home pregnancy kit or a blood beta hCG test, that's what detects pregnancy. Different things entirely.
They don't detect the same thing. If you want to know about pregnancy, do a proper urine kit or ask for a blood test at a lab. If you're worried about both, your doctor can order both separately.
No, those are two totally different tests. STD tests look for infections, pregnancy test looks for the hCG hormone. You need an actual pregnancy test, urine or blood, for that. They won't overlap.
No beta, those tests check for infections, not pregnancy. For pregnancy just use a home kit after your missed period, or get a blood test done. Don't mix the two up.
