Can anything cause a false positive pregnancy test?
I took a home pregnancy test and it showed a faint positive, but then another one was negative. Can anything actually cause a false positive result? I'm so confused.
On my pregnancy app, girls often discussed this! Evaporation lines or even a chemical pregnancy can cause a false positive, so logging your dates on a tracker really helps.
Hey, dont worry too much. Sometimes a faint line is just an evap line if you look at it after it dries up. Try testing again after two days with first morning urine to be sure, okay?
My mother was saying some body changes can sometimes cause faint lines, but my doctor told me only a beta hCG blood test can give 100% confirmation. It is always better to trust the doc.
Sometimes checking the test after 10-15 minutes can show an evaporation line, which looks positive. Some fertility medicines can also cause it, so a blood test is always best for confirmation.
Hormone changes or even keeping the test open for too long can show a false line. Drink some water, rest ghar pe, and visit your doctor to be absolutely sure, beta.
When I had a faint double line, I called my hospital's desk and they booked a blood test for the next morning. It's much better than stressing over home kits.
