Got an arcuate uterus mentioned in my scan report and honestly i panicked a bit when i read it. We are trying to conceive and my doc said its mild but i still want to know if anyone here had this and a normal pregnancy. pls share.
Dont panic just because of the name. Many women have slight differences in uterus shape and still have healthy babies. Your gynac will keep an eye and tell you if anything needs care.
Mine was detected during scan and my gynac said arcuate is usually the mildest one and most pregnancies go fine. But please get it monitored properly with your doctor, dont rely on what we say here.
My doctor explained arcuate uterus is a very mild shape difference and usually does not cause big problems, unlike some other uterine types. She said just regular checkups and scans are enough. Ask your gynac to explain your exact case.
A friend of mine had arcuate uterus and she had two normal pregnancies. It really depends on your case though, so the safest thing is to ask your doctor what it means specifically for you.
I know how scary these terms sound when you read them, I have been there. From what my doctor told me arcuate is on the milder side. Please dont google too much, talk to your gynac and let her guide you, okay?
I dont want to give you wrong hope or scare you, every case is different. What I can say is please stay regular with your scans and ask your gynac directly. They are the right people to tell if it affects anything.
